Plain Chocolate Cake



Ingredients:


Flour -2cups
Sugar-2 cups
Salt -a pinch
Cocoa -1/3 cup
Baking powder -2 tspn
Vanilla essence -2tspn
Butter -3/4cup
Egg -2


Method:


Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease and flour an 8 inch pan. Sift together flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt. Set aside.In a medium bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and vanilla and beat well. Add the flour to this and beat until all are incorporated well.Bake for 35 to 45 minutes, or insert a toothpick into the cake and if it comes out clean take the cake off and allow it to cool.

    

Hot dog sandwich



Ingredients:

Hot dog bun - 1
Hot dogs -2 (chopped)
lettuce -as needed'
Onion - 1 small
Mayonnaise -1 teaspoon
Olive oil -1 teaspoon
Mustard seeds - 1/2 teaspoon
Chilly powder - 1/4 teaspoon
salt to taste

Method:

    Heat oil in a pan, add mustard seeds. when mustard splutters add chopped hot dogs and saute for few seconds. Add salt and chilly powder.Sprinkle little water.Saute till the hot dogs are cooked.Once they are done turn off the gas. Toast the bun on a pan. Spread mayonnaise on each side of the bun. Top it with prepared hot dog mixture,chopped onion and lettuce.

Golden Fried Shrimp

 


Ingredients

Shrimp -6 to 10 count
Panko (bread crumbs) -2-3tablespoon
All purpose flour - 2 tablespoon
Salt as needed
pepper 1teaspoon
Egg -1

Method:

   Combine flour,salt and pepper in a bowl.Beat egg in a separate bowl.Dip  the shrimp first into the flour, second into egg mixture and then into the panko. Deep  fry it in hot oil , until it turns golden brown.

Vanilla Cupcake With Butter-cream Frosting



Ingredients:


 butter 1/2 cup
 sugar 1 cup
 eggs 2
 vanilla extract 2 tsp.
 all-purpose flour 1 1/2 cups
 baking powder 1/2 tsp.
 salt a pinch
 cold milk 2/3 cup

Method:

   Preheat oven to 350 degree F.In a bowl beat eggs one at a time.To this add butter and sugar.Continue to beat them for 30 seconds.Add vanilla extract.In a bowl add flour,baking powder and salt.Stir them together.Reduce egg beater speed to low and slowly add about half of the flour mixture.  Add half of the milk, then the rest of the flour and the rest of the milk.  Beat until just combined.Scrap down the side of the bowl.The batter will be thin.Pour batter into a cupcake pan prepared with paper liners.Fill liners about 2/3 full.Bake cupcakes in preheated oven for 12-14 minutes.Cool in pan 1-2 minutes, then remove cupcakes from pan and allow them to cool.Once it is cool enough frost as desired .I used butter cream frosting.



Butter cream frosting:


unsalted butter -2 sticks or 1cup
powdered sugar -3cups 
salt -a pinch
vanilla extract -1/2 teaspoon 
milk -4 tablespoons

Method:

On a medium speed beat butter for a few minutes. Add powdered sugar ,beat until the sugar has been incorporated with the butter. Add vanilla extract, salt, and 2 tablespoons of milk and beat for 3 minutes. If your frosting needs a more stiff consistency, add more sugar. If your frosting needs to be thinned out, add milk 1 tablespoons at a time till the required consistency.




Chocolate chip biscotti



Ingredients:

All purpose flour - 2 cups
Sugar - 1 cup
Egg -3
Butter -1/2 cup
Baking powder- 1/2 teaspoon


Method:

    Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.  In a bowl beat eggs,sugar and butter till they are nicely  blended together. Add baking powder.Add flour to the egg mixture and blend well to form a dough.Form a roll out of the dough and cut into equal pieces.Grease the cookie sheet and place it on the baking plate.Place the pieces onto the cookie sheet and press them to form a cookie shape.Place chocolate chips on top the cookie and press them lightly.Bake it for 25 to 30 minutes until it turns golden brown.Once they are done remove the cookies and let them cool. Once the cookies are cool enough to handle cut them into halves and bake this for additional 3-5 minutes so that the slices will be lightly toasted giving an additional crispiness.
