 sugar 1 cup
 eggs 2
 vanilla extract 2 tsp.

 baking powder 1/2 tsp.
 salt a pinch
 cold milk 2/3 cup

Method:

Preheat oven to 350 degree F.In a bowl beat eggs one at a time.To this add butter and sugar.Continue to beat them for 30 seconds.Add vanilla extract. In a bowl add flour, baking powder and salt.Stir them together.Reduce egg beater speed to low and slowly add about half of the flour mixture.  Add half of the milk, then the rest of the flour and the rest of the milk.  Beat until just combined.Scrap down the side of the bowl. The batter will be thin.Pour batter into a cupcake pan prepared with paper liners.Fill liners about 2/3 full.Bake cupcakes in preheated oven for 12-14 minutes.Cool in pan 1-2 minutes, then remove cupcakes from pan and allow them to cool.Once it is cool enough frost as desired .I used butter cream frosting.

Butter cream frosting:

unsalted butter -2 sticks or 1cup
powdered sugar -3cups
salt -a pinch
vanilla extract -1/2 teaspoon
milk -4 tablespoons

Method:

On a medium speed beat butter for a few minutes. Add powdered sugar ,beat until the sugar has been incorporated with the butter. Add vanilla extract, salt, and 2 tablespoons of milk and beat for 3 minutes. If your frosting needs a more stiff consistency, add more sugar. If your frosting needs to be thinned out, add milk 1 tablespoons at a time till the required consistency.
